In recent years, electric propulsion technology as a new type of advance mode, with its many advantages is widely used to ships, oil tankers, large merchant ships and other ships. But electric propulsion technology development is just at the primary stage, and the professionals of electric propulsion are not much in our country. So the subject of the software about electric propulsion monitoring system selection and design is very meaningful.This software can guide designers to more effectively; more standardized and more quickly design an electric propulsion monitoring system solution which is economical and thus improve the working efficiency for the designers.This topic is based on the laboratory project:"Design of the model selection software for ship electric propulsion monitoring system". The main works are as followings:1. Introduced the advantages, development and current situation of electric propulsion technology. And illustrate the purpose and significance of designing the model selection software.2. Make the introduction of what constitutes the electric propulsion system and what constitutes the electric propulsion monitoring system.3. Established the electric propulsion equipment database, monitor equipment database, the selection principles database and monitoring solution database for the model selection of ship electric propulsion monitoring system. And those databases are the basis of designing of the model selection software for ship electric propulsion monitoring system. At the same time,make a introduction about the mathematical methods of electric propulsion control system equipment selection.4. Introduced the principles and processes of the selection of main control equipment, HMI equipment and network equipment. And introduced the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation algorithm used in the main control equipment selection.5. Designed of the evaluation algorithm used to evaluate monitoring system solution after a series of selection. Completed the work of a reasonably evaluation of the ship electric propulsion monitoring system model selection solution, and tell the rationality of this design to designer.Finally, according to the completed work, the author made an expectation for the electric propulsion monitoring system model selection technology, and put forward the idea of the future research work.
