The application of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) is increasingly widespread with the development of PMSM. Low speed duplex PMSM that is made up with two disc motor and a external rotor motor, which is used as pumping motor in oilfield has improved the efficiency and saved energy. Control method in low speed and sensor-less control of PMSM have been a problem, and it is always a central issue and emphasis in and out abroad.The paper took the duplex PMSM as study object, studied the stator voltages equations, stator flux equations, electromagnetic torque equations and motion equation of PMSM in different coordinate systems based on space vector. Stusy the principle of direct torque control (DTC) and give the control system block diagram based on the mathematical model of motor. Simulation model was built in SIMULINK, and simulation results were obtained.Study the strong electrical circuit and control circuit based on DSP 2407, the software algorithm of DTC based on DSP was given. Study the peripheral monitoring circuit based on SCM W77E58, the software algorithm of peripheral monitoring such as keyboard, LCD, communication were given.Study the principle of sensor-less control based on high frequency signals injection and MRAS and give the control system block diagram. Simulation model was built in SIMULINK to simulate and study the sensor-less control of PMSM, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods.
