The power network of Shengli oil field is located in the Yellow River beach, and very close to the sea. In this area, the annual average relative humidity is high. There are a lot of pollution sources, for example oil pollution, sea salt spray, dust pollution, industrial pollution. As crude oil production demand higher quality of power supply, it requires the transmission of external insulation in the long running voltage and atmospheric over voltage, internal over voltage can reliable operation. Although, in recent years, the accident of large area power cut rate, incurred by the pollution flashover, decreased year by year. But with the development of oil fields, the rapid development of industrialization of the city, the transmission voltage rise, and the surrounding environment pollution, the flashover potential threat in this area is still exists. The task of prevention and control of the pollution flashover is very tough. The power equipment with pollution flashover will severely affect the safe operation of electric power system. The production of crude oil loss resulted by the pollution flashover accident is also huge. So it is very important significance to research and analysis the pollution flashover characteristics in this area and to find the prevention method for taking effective measure to ensure safe and reliable operation of transmission and transformation equipment.In this paper, the author undertakes the system studies of geographical environment, type of pollution flashover, pollution flashover mechanism, reason analysis on pollution flashover, and anti-pollution flashover measures. Through theoretical analysis and comparison of technology, the author puts the anti-pollution measures for Shengli beach area grid. The results of this paper have a certain reference value for mastering beach area dirty harm, knowing the flashover characteristics of polluted insulators, insulator selection as well as the focus of future research identified.In anti-pollution work, Oilfield Power Management Corporation uses a lot of measures, which obtained certain result, for example strengthen the inspection, adjustment of creepage distance, spraying RTV coating, with a silicon rubber umbrella skirt, replacement of composite insulators, strengthening the cleaning and zero insulating detection, and strictly implement the salt density, the pollution level of distribution. Therefore, the safe operation of power grid is ensured. the grid provides a reliable and strong power for the crude oil production and residents living.
