During the 1994 Northridge Earthquake in America and 1995 Hyogo ken-Nanbu Earthquake in Japan, many rigid connections in steel frames were seriously damaged, and many of which were brittle fracture at the connections. But in contrary, steel frame with semirigid connect exhibited better capability in deformation and energy absorption which can resist dynamic loads. Beam-to-column connection is very important and complicated content in the steel frame design, so it became the hotspot. End-plate bolts connection is a typical semirigid connection. Its hysteretic curve is full and performance is good. But it is hard to establish analytical formula of this kind of connection.The first, factors analysis are conducted on the experiment results presented by the database which Provided by W.F .Chen. It could draw form the research that main factor affected the end-plate connect with bolts were beam height and end-plate thickness and bolt line on column. All the factors will be analysed in finite element at behind.In this paper 3-D nonlinear finite precise numerical simulation experiment had been done for the end-plate bolts connection joints. This analysis is used the popular FEM software ANSYS. The M -θcurves and the hysteretic curve are obtained with the FEM model considering material and geometrical and state nonlinearity. Some factors which influence the hysteretic performance are analyse in this paper. It's turn out size of column-beam and thinkness of end-plate to be a major contributor for hysteretic behavior of specimen. Moreover the level of bolts effect of the node performance is not big. And the arrange of bolts is good for the two columns and four rows of way.Many scholars have do some studies with hysteretic performance of semirigid connections at home and abroad. Some simplified hysteretic models have been proposed. According to the results of the finite element analysis of end-plate hysteretic curves, this paper put forward a new simplified hysteretic model.In this paper, diffirent layer number steel structures with semirigid connection are studied. Displacement and acceleration time history curve are obtained under different seismic wave motivation. Forther found that the top displacement and acceleration of semirigid connection structure is more than rigid connection structure. Natural period of semirigid connetion structure have to be the trend of increase. It is caused by the joint flexibility mainly.
