Synthesis Of Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes (POSS) Molecules Containing Multiple Functional Groups And The Preparation Of POSS-containing Hybrids By Click Chemistry

Polyhedral oligosilsesquioxanes(POSS) consists of a well-defined cluster with an inorganic silica-like core(SiO_1.5)n surrounded by eight organic corner group(functional or inert).POSS-based polymeric materials have excellent thermal properties,mechanical properties, electrical properties and magnetical properties relative to polymeric materials,so they have attracted great interest of many researchers recently.Because of their unique performance in the field of catalyst, micro-and meso-porous and low dielectric materials,the POSS molecules containing multiple functional groups are becoming a focus of research. The POSS molecules containing multiple functional groups were synthesized in this dissertation.The main contents are as follows:1) The development of the polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes(POSS) were reviewed in detail.The synthesis methods of POSS molecules containing multiple functional groups and the applications were discussed.2) Various reaction conditions such as reaction temperature,reaction time,reaction solvent,and the ratio of reactacns on the yield of cage-like octa(chloricmethyldimethylsiloxy) silsesquioxane were invesitigated and the optimal experiment conditions were obtained.3) The synthesis methods of POSS molecules containing multiple functional groups were designed,target monomers were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR,¹H-NMR and ²⁹Si NMR.4) Two novel starlike POSS-based hybrid polymers were prepared by the Click Chemistry method and their thermal properties were evaluated and the enhancement mechniam of thermal properties were investigated.
