At present, in order to enhance oil recovery, polymer flooding technology hasbeen used in many major oilfields in our country. With the implementation of polymerflooding, make the residual polymer (most of partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide)exists in produced water, lead to high viscosity and serious emulsification of theproduced water etc. characters, increase difficulty of wastewater treatment, only withthe simple physical or chemical methods is difficult to meet the requirements ofrejection or drainage. Especially, Polymer flooding in oil field wastewater residualpartially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) and water treatment agentpolyelectrolyte reactions occur, seriously affecting the treatment effect.Polyelectrolyte in the course more susceptible to the effects of other substances, suchas small molecular metal salts, surfactants and other polymer electrolytes. The paperfirst examines the small molecule metal salts and macromolecule salts polymericaluminum chloride (PAC) on the physical and chemical properties of polyelectrolyte.Through changes in conductivity to initially study the reaction time and cationicdegree on HPAM and cationic polyelectrolyte water treatment agents interactions, theinfluence of small molecule salts and surfactant was also discussed.Experimental results show that the presence of salts could reduce the viscosity ofHPAM solution. For different concentration of HPAM solution (200,600mg/L), thesalts have basically same influence on viscosity. When the concentration of smallmolecular metal salts is bellow1000mg/L, the viscosity of HPAM solution decreasessharply with the increase of salts. Between1000~2000mg/L, the viscosity of HPAMsolution decline marginally. Above2000mg/L, the viscosity almost doesn't changeand approaches the value of deionized water. In comparison with the small molecularmetal salts, PAC has little influence on the viscosity of HPAM solution. Comparing ofmonovalent metal salt and divalent or rivalent salt, monovalent metal salt has littleeffect on viscosity of HPAM solution. However, valencestate of salts don't affect theviscosity of cationic polyelectrolytes solution. With same concentration of salts, saltsaffecting the HPAM viscosity more than the cationic polyelectrolytes. When HPAMinteracts with different cationic polyelectrolyte, after the addition of small molecules, salts, SDBS, conductivity of the solution become larger, and the system conductivityincreases with the increase of the concentration of salt, surface surfactant.
