The situation of heavy metal pollution in China is serious. And major events such as the heavy metal pollution of blood lead broke out frequently since 2008. Heavy metal pollution prevention and control have become China's important strategic task of environmental protection during "1025" period. Based on the project of "Heavy Metal Pollution Comprehensive Prevention and Control Plan in Datong City", we aims to clear the heavy metal pollution situation, predict the future development trend, clear pollution control direction, and provide reliable basis for planning.To get the range of heavy metal pollutants distribution, industrial source is selected as the research object, and emission coefficient method is used to check out the pollution sources survey results. Industrial waste gas is the main source of heavy metal pollutants in Datong city. In 2009,35.38 tons heavy metal polluants from industial waste gas, accounting for more than 95% of the total emissions.207.9 kg comes from industial waste water, while no heavy metal comes from hazardous waste.Evaluate the regional heavy metal pollution of Datong city, by using the standard pollution load method, pollution index method and the model simulation methods. And 9 region are selected as key prevention and control area. The 9 region are Wuling Town, Liuke Township, Dongnanhe Town, Zhaobei Township, Xihanling Township, Shuiposi Township, Gudian Township, Mining Area and Urban Area. Combined with pollution trend prediction results, five aspects strategy is made to solve the problem.Based on the emission coefficient method, the AERMOD model, the equal-standard waste load method, the pollution index method, we can determine the main polluted area, the control industry and key pollutants type. Modeling method overcomes the problem of the lack of the heavy metal content date in air, which makes the result more comprehensive and objective.
