With the shortage of energy day by day, more and more people realize that the utilization of waste heat energy has an important significance in economy and environmental protection benefit. Combining with the original conditions of four sintering plants in Ansteel, the article proposes the design proposal that the annular cooler will be equipped with double-pressure de-oxidizing waste heat boiler and steam-compensation and–condensation turbine generator in order to tackle the problem of low utilization rate of waste heat for sintering annular cooler of General Sintering Plant in Anshan Iron and Steel Group. The proposal and expected results are as follows:The project is planning to arrange one waste heat boiler and one steam turbine generator in No.2 Sintering Plant workshop, two waste heat boilers and one steam turbine generator in new Sintering Branch Plant and two waste heat boilers and one steam turbine generator in Sintering Plant of west zone. The waste heat in No. 1 and 2 cooling section of annular cooler can produce high- and low-pressure steam by means of waste heat boiler, in which the high-pressure steam is used for the power generation of steam turbine generator and the low-pressure steam will be supplied to No.2 Sintering Plant shop, new Sintering Branch Plant and west zone as the sintering pre-heating mixture and winter heating. After the completion and reaching the design capacity, the waste heat recovery technology for the project can supply the electricity of 372.92×10~6kwh and save 125000 tons of standard coal per year.
