In this paper, linear acrylamide(AM) and methacryloyl ethyl-N,N-dimethyl-N-butyl sulfonic acid ammonium (DMBS) copolymer with anti-polyelectrolyte solution behavior and four-arm star polyacrylamide (SPAM) were synthesized by SET-LRP in aqueous solution and ionic liquids respectively, and the effect of various reaction condition on the polymerization, the main contents are as follows:1,four functional initiator 2,2-dibromomethyl-1,3-dibromopropane(PEBr4) high yeid and high purity was synthesized using pentaerythritol as raw materials under improved conditions, and thus for the nuclear initiating the SET-LRP of AM and DMBS;and a high degree of multi-ligand spin Me6-TREN with stong coordination ability of electron donor and neutral-type zwiiterionc sulfobetaine functional monomer were synthesized successfully referring literature; and the products were characterized by means of IR and 1H NMR, proved to be the target products with high purity.2,The copolymer of AM and DMBS was synthesized by SET-LRP in 25℃aqueous solution with Cu0/Me6-TREN as catalyst, 2-chloropropyl amide (CPA) as initiator. P(AM-co-DMBS) was analyzed by 1H NMR,GPC, it show that the polymer was the target product, and has narrow molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn=1.33(MnGPC=3.01×104,the conversion is 82%), the polymer chain end retained theα- Br end group. The effect of solvent, catalyst, initiator and temperature on the polymerization was investigated; and the salt solution properties of P(AM-co-DMBS) was also studied, the zwitterionic polymer has good anti-polyelectrolyte solution behavior with three salt solution, and the more the salt concentration is, the more the apparent viscosity of polymer solution is.3,The star polymer PAM of narrow molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn≈1.26 (MnGPC=14.1×103,the conversion is 43.4%) was synthesized by SET-LRP in 40℃ionic liquid with Cu0/Me6-TREN as catalyst, pentaerythritol bromide as initiator. The polymer prepared was characterized by 1H NMR and GPC to identify the polymer structures and the molecular weight and distribution; The effect of solvent, catalyst and initiator on the polymerization was investigated.
