Path And Performance Of A Comparative Study Of Trade Reform In China And Russia

The waves of globalization have influenced countries all over the world. There has been a huge world market that every country must face. Foreign trade plays more important role in the economy of a country than ever before. It is important for a country to find out whether the trade institution of the country promotes its foreign trade. Reforming of the foreign trade institution will be the most important issue for many countries.The Opening-up Policy was carried on from 1979 in China. Foreign trade of China was developed gradually. Especially, with the accession of WTO, China's foreign trade grew rapidly. Nowadays, China has played a significant role in the trade of the world. Russia began its economy transition in 1992. But the"Shock Therapy"did not bring prosperity to Russia but crisis and poverty. The foreign trade of Russia didn't grow smoothly until Putin assumed the reins of government. With the regulation of the government, the foreign trade of Russia had a stable growth rate recently.This paper aims to comparing the differentiation of the trade reforming between China and Russia in paths and effects, trying to find out the suitable way for the future reforming of trade institution in China.
