Chinese And Foreign Industry Gathered Comparative Analysis

The national eleventh-five plan and the Medium to Long-Term Science and Technology Development Plan (MLP) had planned to build innovational nation. As the part of innovational-nation-system, industry cluster is important to promote the ability of innovation.Firstly, the paper introduce the industry-cluster theory, including the beginning industry-cluster theory, for example, the choice of the farming location, the choice of the industry location, the growth-pole theory and the unbalance-growth theory, and the contemporary industry theory, for example, the new industry district theory, the new spatial industry theory, and so on.Another near school to the industry-cluster is the innovation school, which was put forward firstly by the economist, J.A.Schumpeter, in the book named as The theory of economic development: an inquiry into profits, capital, credit, interest, and the business cycle. Afterward, economists deepened the innovation theory from the aspect of technology and mechanisms. The latest development was the national innovation-system theory by Nelson and Porter.Based on these theories, the paper analyze the industry-cluster phenomena, such as the Silicon Valley, the Taiwan Xinzhu Science Park, Dongguan model, Zhejiang model, and Zhongguancun Park. At the last, the paper gives some advices about how to develop the industry-cluster in China.
