Boke breaks through the traditional content and forms a virtually interactive platform in the internet with the shared form of audio and video. At present, it has become a hot topic of on-line media as a new form of media.The social function of communication has long been an area of study in the history of communication study. Among them are the famous theory of three functions put forward by Lasswell, four functions theory by America expert Wright and the analysis of social function of communication made by them.With the development of new media, especially that of the Me media, the social function of boke communication has been further developed and has its unique value for research. Therefore, to study the social function of boke with the theory of social function as a basis will further complement the theory itself and make it more suitable for the development of new media.The study of the social function of boke communication can make us more clear its meaning and influence. Therefore we can better make use of it and promote the social integration and cultural heritage. This thesis, based on the theory of social function of communication and the theory of psychology, tries to analyze the social function of boke communication and has the realistic significance and applicable value of guiding the boke communication practice.
