With the development of mass communication technology, mass media has all-pervasive infiltrated into our political, economic, cultural and social life. The mass media is increasingly becoming the power of manipulate and control our social life. We live in a world of full of symbols. In the context of consumer society, people's consumption is symbol consumption. Language sign is the main medium to transmit information. As the "interpretant" of other symbols, language sign is intermediary. Language sign is responsible for the interpretation of other symbols. The main transmission element during dissemination of information is sound and words. The construction of media power is also a symbolic expression to convey its ideas through language sign.In this paper, through the method of content analysis and inductive deduction, author has analyzed media power from the formation of discourse analysis and ideology, described the effect of language sign in the instruction of media power. In discourse analysis, author primarily through the analysis of the constituent elements of language sign in the text, deconstruct the mass media how generate power in the formation of discourse. Language sign form specific ideology by creating a new meaning, namely "connotation". In this process, the mass media construct the power. This article interpreted the construction's process of media power from the perspective of semiotics. The author has researched media power with the method of semiotics analysis and opened up new research perspectives of media power.
