The origin of meteorological data is broader and data quantity is larger than ever before with the progress of meteorological science.How to save the large-scale meteorological data standard and analyzes these data to obtain the accurate weather forecast fast,is a tough question in athe meteorological scientific progress. The majority of provinces and cities' meteorological data sharing system has formed basically. But the data sharing system of the Guangxi province was still a blank. Along with the computer technology development and maturation, we relies on the huge processing and memory property of the computer and the data base technology to standard reserve the large-scale data. The storage format of the most part Meteorological data is the MICPAS form.The adapted program of the MICAPS and the GrADS technology can analyze and process the meteorological data.The program also can completes the picture formation on the Web.Therefore, this thesis analyzed and researched the characteristic of the meteorology sharing system in the domestic provinces. According to meteorological data characteristic,we choose the rational development scheme. We use the database storage technology to reserve the data standard and apply the JAVA to build the inquiring platform.And then we use the MICAPS and the GrADS technology that our country meteorological department universal perform in the meteorological service to accomplish the picture formation. In conclusion, we develop and finish the meteorological information magnanimous database that suits the meteorological department to use.The research item of the meteorological information magnanimous database had the approval of the meteorological department authorities and had carried on the promoted application in the meteorological service.The system enables the weather forecast worker to inquire each kind of historical data material intuitively.It is also very essential to the scientific research and the trade development of the Guangxi Meteorological department. The system has filled the blank of our district meteorological data sharing service. This article designed the developed the meteorological data magnanimous database system to be possible saying that was only a few parts of the meteorological data sharing work.Many important content of the recent meteorological data revealing picture on the Web has not involved in this thesis.We will therefore also continue to carry on the Web illustration demonstration of the collapsing picture,the superimposition demonstration of the MM5 data and the research of the new drawing equivalent line technology.We will increase the data inquiry type of the meteorological information magnanimous database and perfect each kind of the system properties.
