With the rapid development of embedded technology and the reduce of the application cost, embedded technology has been used widely in critical applications, such as aircraft flight control, transportation control, industrial automation control. With the constantly expanding range of applications, especially with embedded system applications in a number of high-risk work environment, the users' requirements of embedded systems are also changing, not only limited to real-time and high performance, they began to pay more and more attention to the security, reliability and safety. Safety kernel technology is a powerful means for risk prevention. So far, people who researched safety kernel didn't consider the influence of working environment factors to safety polity. Actually, when the working environment of safety-critical system changed, the safety polity will subsequently be changing dramatically. That means an application is legitimate under some environments but would illegal under other environments. Therefore, it has become a hot topic in the domain of embedded system that to make safety kernel to have adaptability that can improve the reliability and safety of crucial system under vary environments.The thesis firstly introduces the relational research about safety kernel domestically and abroad, and discusses principles of the thechnology and their differences .Secondly the FSM theory is used to creat adaptable safety policy model,this model provide a way to get the adaptable safety policy about certain crucial system. Thirdly,the real-time reflection tower model is used to create the safety kernel model. This model can provide scalability to the safety kernel. Then,an adaptable safety kernel structure is designed. In this structure the safety policy is independent from safety kernel, and safety policy under different enviromen is independent from each other. And then,on the RTARMM middleware platform designed in the thesis and fulfill adaptable safety kernel. Then, nuclear safety control model and flight control model are used to test the adaptable safety kernel. At last,the achievement and important creative points are summarized, and some new research thinking in future are proposed.
