With the rapid development of the Internet and the WTO accession,the Amount of each company's business growing rapidly,as well as the data which should be handled.The information database has gradually turned into a massive data environment. The most typical example is the banking sector. In recent years, as the banks increase the amount of data, data is constantly changing and increasingly complex, the Bank's business continues to expand, banks urgently need to use the new architecture and new technology to enhance the efficiency of dealing with massive amounts of data and improve data-processing flexibility. If we improve system efficiency only by improving the hardware, it will increase costs and waste of resources.So it is very necessary to optimize the performance of banking system by reserch the query optimization strategies on the massive data.IBM mainframe has been welcomed by massive data systems since its inception. It widely used in the banking sector, many banks at home and abroad have been invoveld in the data centralization and the core banking is running on the IBM mainframe.However, the Efficiency issues caused by the massive data urgent need to handel,it is g a new topical of current banking system which want to accelerate their informatization building.Now, in order to improve the efficiency of massive data processing, various relational database's performance tuning are going on, because the lack of a centralized platform to provide real and massive amounts of test data, it is difficult to make a more comprehensive study.Based on the above background, this pape designs and achieves a mainframe-based banking system by self-development, then proposes some query optimization strategy based on the system. This thesis uses three-tier model to design the mainframe-based banking system's overall framework, and design a good user interface and programming interface. Analysis the major business processes of bank and implements the key modules of the system by COBOL language, CICS middleware, JCL job control language and DB2 database.And then obtains the performance bottlenecks according to the test result.this thesis made a number of query optimization Strategy and implement them in the system, which include the optimization of physical design of the database, the query path optimization and optimization of the process, and so on. Finally, this thesis designs a method to generate large amounts of data to simulate the real environment for banking system. This article also Test the performance of banking system before and after optimization.Then give the comparison between the before and after to prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the optimization Strategy.
