With the rapid development of power electronics, the problem of power system harmonic pollution becomes more and more serious. In this paper, depending on the real problems of the power system harmonics, first describing the classification, topological structure, the advantages and applications of active power filter. Then based on this study's purpose and significance, in-depth analysis and comparison of the active filter structure and working principle by commonly used at present ,and to choose the parallel hybrid active filter, and elaborate its advantages and practicality; in analysis of the fundamental current testing programs.This paper chooses the i_p - i_q calculation of the instantaneous reactive power theory to detect the harmonic current, and give the specific realizing block diagram, under the package of MATLAB-SIMULINK, simulation was carried out. About the control strategy, this paper lists and compares several traditional strategy, and finally propose a generalized predictive deadbeat control strategy. In the basis of determining various strategy, about this proposed parallel hybrid active filter, the DSP hardware and software are designed. Various functions of hardware implementation is specifically described, and the necessary device parameters and the implementation principle Map are given; software design consists of the main program flow chart and the concrete model of the module. The experimental results verify the feasibility of the design of harmonic detection and control strategy, and experimental accuracy and harmonic real-time compensation.The experimental device uses the high-speed digital and signal processing chip TMS320F2812 of the TI company, this can quickly completes the total control program. From the experimental results, the active filter system can effectively eliminates the harmonics generated by the nonlinear load, greatly reduces the harm caused by harmonics on the grid.This detection method of harmonic current has the good real-time and accuracy in this paper. Based on the method, active filter device has a wide application prospect and practical value.
