As a high-power and broad bandwidth millimeter wave amplifier, the gyrotron traveling wave tube are widely used in the millimeter-wave radar, communications and electronic countermeasures. So more and more nations pay attention to its high value. The interaction mechanism of the gyrotron traveling wave tube is much complex. The oscillation in the interaction will seriously affect the efficiency of the gyrotron. Presently the method of dielectric loading on the gyro-TWT interaction section's surface is widely used to suppression the oscillation which will increase the length of the interaction section and the efficiency of the gyro-TWT. However, the formulas of the gyro-TWT are too complex to be solved. So it only can be studied by numerical simulation. In this article, the interaction of electron beam and waves in the gyro-TWT was steady-state analysis from the basic electromagnetic theory. And the plural steady-state equations of interaction and electronic motion equations were also be derived. The theory of gyrotron amplifier's linear and nonlinear was introduced. A numerical simulation program was done by the nonlinear theory. Using that program, much numerical simulation and compute in the interaction of TE01 in gyro-TWT was did and analyzed the effect to the efficiency of the interaction by the voltage and current of electron beam, direct magnetic field and the wave frequency. From the simulation, a group of variables on the output curve was obtained which are more consistent with the results of other software's simulation and the actual test results.
