Since software defined radio has been proposed in the 1990s, it has been widespread concerned in the wireless communications. The goal of software defined radio is to achieve such system, where components that have typically been implemented in hardware are instead implemented using software on one hardware platform and this system can complete a variety of applications. However, there are not many successful case untill now, mostly because of the limitation of the performance of the hardware and the complexity of the design of software defined radio. This article introduces CSP||B to hardware design to reduce the design complexity of the system from the perspective of system design. CSP||B is the combination of CSP (Communicating Sequential Processes) and B method, with the advantages of both in one. CSP, which based on dynamic point of view, uses the process and event to describe a system; and B method, which based on the static point of view, uses the status and operation to describe a system. CSP||B, which bombined these two views, can be a very clear description of a complex system, as well as specialized software can help designers to analyze and validate the system.DQPSK (Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) modulation as a digital modulate method are widely used in wireless communication systems, thus this article choose it as the object of study. This article shows the theorty of DQPSK modulation and demodulation firstly, and then establishs the CSP||B model for DQPSK modulator and demodulator. This CSP||B model has been analyzed and verified to remove deadlock and livelock. A software defined radio platform, where the range of receive frequency is 360-960MHz, the range of transmit frequency is 262-438MHz or 523-876MHz, the intermediate frequency is 30MHz and the bandwidth is 5MHz or 20MHz, has been choosed in this article. According to CSP||B model, a DQPSK modulation subsystem and a DQPSK demodulation subsystem have been implemented on the platform.
