It is difficult for medicine interns to truly integrate into the surgical environment in basic skill's training, through the researches on suture line modeling in virtual environment, succeed in establish the 3D model of suture with continuous control points and its position transformation process by studying the method of modeling suture in the virtual environment, propose a algorithm about collision detection of suture based on spherical bounding box, and thus to design a suitable suture knot virtual simulation system. Subjects of this study is the suture line, suture line as a special kind of flexible body, its force and deformation of the studies has its own unique characteristics, the relevant characteristics of sutures, and to design these features can be applied to virtual surgical suture knot algorithm, is the main content of this study.From the whole virtual surgery, modeling suture is a model reconstruction, suture lines are force feedback controlled motion design and interactive modules, And collision detection of suture-model is the content of collision detection module. Suture line in the modeling section, the first analysis of geometric modeling process, the process of re-analysis of physical modeling and then to the part of their cross integration, cross-modeling is the key point of physical modeling to determine the location of the geometric modeling effect. Suture line model the process of movement of a suture line is mainly reflected in controlled circumstances, to realize their movement, the various "power" calculations is the focus of research work. Suture self collision detection is mainly to detect fast and ready to tie the course of collision phenomena, and applied to the suture line controlled the process of movement to successfully complete the specific operation knot. The contents of the collision process is to achieve authenticity and real-time knotting the main factors, and this is the key to the success of knotting.
