With the rapid development of china economy,automobile has been to people's life as the main method of transportation.However,traffic jam and vehicle stolen become serious.According to the nation's situation,this paper studied navigation system based on S3C2440 and mainly elaborated the hardware and software design of mobile terminal.Previous vehicle information display system is the GPS to the terminal screen, can only know the location of the terminal board and current map information, is not able to send cars to the geographical information, the design be able to send information to the automotive vehicle Internet server-side, and the realization of the server capacity to receive more than one terminal.Currently,for 3G networks having already started operating and the GPRS network technology been well developed the data transmission of remote monitoring system become easier.The character of GPRS network,such as widely cover,high speed,low cost,meets the demands of distributed monitoring system and makes it possible.This paper elaborated the implementation process of navigation system based on S3C2440. Focuses on the design of the system,including software system and hardware system.The hardware system design based on S3C2440 unit contains various function modules' hardware design as well as circuit of some modules.The building process of software involved the porting of Windows CE operating system and the building process of the drivers.The paper mainly elaborated the design and implementation of key drivers,including serial port,LCD display.In practical,the system running stably and meets the needs of practical application.
