Heterogeneous Three-dimensional Cad Software To Convert The Interface Technology

Because the different company uses the different CAD software, the designers and managers will make the data exchange among the different CAD system. So, the cooperating work using the many CAD software system becomes the necessary.In this paper, the author analyses the develop status about the exchanging interface technology of the isomerous CAD software. By using the API function read model of the UG and PRO/E, the feature tree, the feature parameter (diameter), and the geometry data of the source model are get and exchanged to the format of the aim model. Then, by the API function, these information will be transformed the aim model. By this way, the model exchanging between UG and PRO/E software will be realized. With the breakthrough of the key technology such as the exchanging technology based on the feature, the exchanging interface software based on the UG 2.0 and PRO/E Wildfire 2.0 is developed by C++Builder6.0 and realizes the transform among the 14 features of UG and the 9 features.
