Because of the favorable environmental effects and diversified energy sources,the electric vehicle(EV) has been worldwidely considered as one of significant developing orientations in automobile industry.By the research of recent development of GPS,GIS and GPRS,a method of designing and implementing electric vehicle running and monitoring system based on SuperMap is proposed in this article.This system receives real-time GPS position data and BMS battery status information, and sends it to monitoring center through GPRS network.And with the technique of ComGIS,it realizes real-time monitoring and information management for electric vehicles at the monitoring center.It enhances the security and reliability of electric vehicles.On the communication aspect,the system uses the mode of GPRS-based communication and SMS communication as a supplement,and we integrate both technologies in the design.The mode greatly improves the communication efficiency and reduces the cost of communication.On the designing database aspect,powerful Oracle database is used as background database to provide high-performance service to the system which has numerous users and large-scale. This paper designs and accomplishes the database of the monitoring center in detail,and makes the system's data organization has a perfect background.On the designing application aspect,the ComGIS that the system uses is SuperMap Objects which is provided by SuperMap Company.Besides having the basic GIS function,it also has characteristics of concise system structure,strong graphic function and small system scale. Based on VC++ platform,using SuperMap Objects components,the system realizes electric vehicles real-time monitoring,information tracing,trace replaying,vehicle alarming,geographic information querying,information management,and so on.By the model running,the system has achieved expected goal.The electric vehicle running and monitoring system based on SuperMap which collects and transmits the data of vehicles' location,batteries and key components in work can monitor electric vehicles in real time. Through the analysis of plenty of data,we can adopt optimal control strategy and system matching,and get a comprehensive and objective evaluation on the reliability of vehicles to explore the management experience,and for the diagnosis and analysis of remote faults and the intelligent scheduling management of rapid succoring build a technology platform.
