With the development of economics,the competitions in business have become more and more complex and drastic.Enterprises need more information to make decisions and improve their abilities.In 1920's,technologies of databases developed a lot,and data warehouse,on-line analysis process together with data mining appeared one after the other,which were applied extensively. They can do complex aggregation,analysis and data predicting in different fields and play an important role in decision making in enterprises.Both OLAP and Data mining are important applications above data warehouse,and they have their own advantages.However,from their characteristics,we know that OLAP is a kind of technology with the support of user's query and suppose which will confine the bounds of data analysis and Data mining works automatically which will leads useless modes.So,OLAP and Data mining have confines separately.In order to solve the problems above,Professor HanJiawei from Simon Fraser University brings forward a new concept named on-line analytical mining which combines the technology of OLAP and Data mining.It has the on-line trait,speediness of OLAP and the further data analysis of Data mining,which makes it better than OLAP and Data mining in business applications.It will be the future trend of data warehouse.From the aspect of OLAM development,many theories and tools implement it with method of adding data mining functions based on OLAP which will lead to bad integrations and the characteristics of OLAM can not be exerted sufficiently.Though there are some related researches and discussions,there's not a common received OLAM model.The paper put forward an extended rolling model based on domain influences and rolling method which can solve the problems in OLAM and makes the OLAP and Data mining work in the same framework with high integration.The paper first makes some researches on the technology of OLAM and its related theories and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of it,such as low integration of OLAP and Data mining.Then the paper puts forward a new model which is in accordance with the technology of OLAM,named extended rolling model,and realize it with the background of sales in molybdenum industry.At last,the paper applies the OLAM system of the molybdenum company with the supporting of Microsoft Analysis 2005 and Visual studio 2005.From the specific application,we prove that the feasibility and efficiency of OLAM technology,which can bring a lot of conveniences to management and is helpful for decision making of enterprises.
