With the development of the radar and wireless communications, we need the frequency source which has more excellent performance. MIMO technology will be used in next wireless communication system to upgrade the capacity of system. Meanwhile, the frequency source has to upgrade too. Lower phase noise, purer frequency spectrum and more stable are the trend of the frequency source. Our dissertation is the realization of the frequency source of the MIMO system.At first, we theoretically analyze the working principles and key technology of MIMO. And then introduce the working principle of the frequency and development. We especially analyze the key index of source and the parameters which may affect the performance of the source.The frequency source of MIMO is composed of there parts. They are phase-locked loop, amplifier and power divider. We use ADF4360-0 and crystal oscillator to realize the PLL. The output frequency of the chip which integrate VCO module and has perfect phase noise is from 1400MHz to 2725MHz. we use the AT-30533 to be the amplifier. And we use the microstrip to realize four equal power signals. We simulate the three modules in using ADS and GENESYS including the stability of the PLL circuit, the phase noise, the locked time and so on. We analyze the problems during the design state and the way to solve the problems. The test data and the circuits are given.The design of RF circuit is a complex course which indexes affect each others. We need to take care of a lot. We use the simulating tools to solve the problem better, so we save the time and increase the efficiency.
