Player Based On Gstreamer Media Research And Design

With the development of the electronic, computer and communication technology, there are so many portable terminal equipments become indispensable consumer electronics products increasingly, such as personal digital assistants (PDA) and smart mobile phone (Smart Phone).The speed and porformace of portable terminal equipment become more and more powerful. Therefore, users of these portable devices desire to obtain more and better features and services. While at all of demand for these applications, multi-media entertainment functions is most popular. Based on this strong demand for embedded applications, to build a unified framework for the development of portable multimedia embedded become the most pressing needs.This thesis describes all important parts of multimedia player development in the embedded system from various angles, and by designing a framework of specific platform to reduce costs and to improve efficiency in the implementation of applications. The main contribution of this thesis lies in: by designing and implementing a multimedia framework which belong to specific embedded linux system, to reduce the design complexity and cost of system, thereby reduce the development cycle of multimedia player , improve the efficiency in the implementation of applications and ensure that soft real-time performance. At stage of software design and development, this multimedia player supports the latest MPEG-4 audio and video standards. This system player structures at a powerful development board pxa300 which come from Marvell.
