With the expansion of demand for multimedia services,users gradually focus on the difference of the contents , plenty of the service-related information and the customer's interactive behavior.The traditional multimedia technologies couldn't meet the requirement by all appearances. So, all these factors stimulate the rich media technology development. Rich media technology is a new way for information organization, which combines video, audio, image, animation, interactive elements together, and could provide customer more abundant experience and stronger visual onvulsion.Then with the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing,and 3G licenses awarded, etc., the user demand for mobile television grows quickly. How to provide more rich experience for mobile users prompte the mobile operators concerns more mobile-rich media technology.But restricted by the embedded device's various environment and limited resource, it is important to research the rich media on the embedded devices. Nowadays,some countries also have shapen rich media criterion,but rich media technology in china is still falling far behind with the developed country. However, use of foreign technology will inevitable encountered in patent and technical blockade, which require a China's own media-rich embedded device technology combinated of Chinese national conditions.First,this dissertation carefully analyzed the related technical standards, such as SVG, LASeR,DIMS. Then, according to the application requirement, a layered sense description language for rich media service is designed,and focuses on the part of sense description. Writer provided a new idea about the problems of scene description language. The next step was, directing by the framework theory, to develop a rich media engine on mobile devices-u-RMP. The mobile rich media engine can parse the sense with high efficiency and can make the audivisible data synchoronize with the animation data. Finally, according to the analyse and research of spidermonkey, which is the script engine of firefox, make our rich media engine has the ability of parse and execute script, increasing the exhibit and control ability of sense description language. In order to make this engine easily porting to different devices, C programming language was adopted. Finally, the project developed a test suit for richmedia according to the requirement from the market, including mobile newspaper, media player, ESG, interactive advertisement, etc. Jugging from these test cases, by this rich media framework, the third part group can be quickly developed complex business logic service with enormous resource and interactive behaviors.u-RMP engine could efficiently process audio, video, interactive data, ,and last but not lest, it could port to various devices and platforms very easily.
