Bluetooth RF testing require high quality and low cost, functional testing can achieve this requirement and cover the traditional parasitic testing (power, phase noise, and so forth) normally accompanying individual building blocks(amplifier, mixers, filters, and the like).Beginning with an introduction to the Bluetooth configuration and standard, the individual blocks that make up a basic radio are described. With analysis for these parametric testing, functional testing are brought forward. The functional testing for the TX and RX functions of wireless Bluetooth devices are explained, and also how it can reflect whether those individual blocks work well or not. Finally the functional testing requirement for the ATE is analyzed.Functional testing of Bluetooth tests entire chains of the device as a functional block and more closely approximates how it will be used in the real word. It can be implemented to reduce the time of test, which reduces the cost.
