Millimeter-wave power source plays a key role in millimeter-wave systems. It is most important to develop millimeter-wave solid-state power sources of wideband, and high reliability.A 18~36GHz wideband solid state power amplifier, using a power combiner which is the most important of the power amplifier with three microstrip line Lange coupler is designed. This optimized four-way combining structure showed a very low back-to-back Insertion Loss of 0.4dB and the VSWR is below 1.2 over multiple frequency. The gold-wires connection between microstrip and MMICs were simulated in order to save the time when bonding practically.
