Microteaching Web-based System Design

As a systematic way of training teaching skills, micro-teaching made us great progress in training normal majors and teachers since it was first introduced to China in 1980s. With the enlargement of students, traditional micro-teaching system can't meet the request of experiments. This paper analyzes the problems that exits in traditional micro-teaching system, and tries to resolve it by creating a teaching environment using network technology and video technology. Some functions of traditional microteaching system should also be strengthened and intensified by network.On the basis of the realization of the digitization of micro-teaching system and the feature of micro-teaching course and cognitive characteristics of college students, the system is designed to have five parts supporting self-regulated studying, such as resource supporting, navigation supporting, interaction supporting, management supporting, as well as digital materials supporting. In addition, we design and realize five modules to support students self-regulated studying, such as learning module, micro-teaching practicing module, interaction module, micro-teaching evaluation modules and students log module.The entire system is centered by a conception of constructivist learning theory. Which emphasizes Students are the principal part of cognition, and mobilizes students' enthusiasm and activity in the process of information. Therefore, the students can improve their teaching skills by continuous practicing and reviewing. The system combines a teaching system with a management system to realize studying and assessing online, the storage and transmission of the digitalization of video material, in order to give students a network learning environment supporting self-study and co-study.
