Along with the LCD TV leading the main stream of TV consumption, a LCD TV properties test system design is proposed, according to the subject issued by the Ministry of Information Industry, testing standards, combining applications technology of embedded system development and programmable logic device. The development program comprises the following elements: using UML Modeling Language for the establishment of model structure; using Verilog hardware description language and FPGA chip EP1C3T144 to develop the programmable television test signal generator; using ARM9 chip S3C2410 as the control core of the design; designing photo-electric characteristic precision parameters measuring circuit, using LCD screen and keyboard to component friendly man-machine interface; transplanting system software based on the Linux operating system, including the BootLoader and drivers, editing QT application programs. Based on a series of work, a successful construction of the laboratory prototype is constructed. It achieves the following basic features: it can provide the Ministerial testing standards requiring television signal; exact measurement to the testing requirements are met; it is easy to join ERP enterprise network, and provides enterprises with production data.At first LCD test system status and the lack of development on the research background are introduced. Then the color measurement principle and the basis of embedded systems theory and design methods are analyzed. Then under the requirements of the "digital flat-panel TV measurement method", a high-performance, low computational complexity for embedded systems electric-photo performance testing methods is developed. Finally, the present system of hardware and software development is detailedly described. System hardware development includes signal generator, color conversion of the acquisition, the core CPU circuit design and so on. System software development combining the kernel transplantation, the structuring of compiler environments, designing and contained of drivers, application programs, are detailed explained.After tests, the system can be effective for LCD TV color performance measuring. It can meet the practical requirements of enterprises production and debugging.
