With the rapid development of computer network technology, the size of the network is becoming larger and larger, and the sum of people who use the network is growing dramatically, the current network management and assert is more and more difficult to adapt to the user's request. The causes of the network faults are varied, and they always contain a lot of information. So it is very hard to solve the entire network faults by the tools and the methods which are provided now.In this paper, artificial immune system and mobile agent are applied to the network fault diagnosis field. First in detail studying they working the foundation of the principle and introducing the model of network fault diagnosis based on artificial immune system and mobile agent. This model has two advantages. One is making use of the information handles mechanism of artificial immune system. For example, self study, self adapting, self-organizing, etc. It can be adapted to complex network environment. Another is loading to mobile agent which can improve efficiency of network fault diagnosis. And then we use a new clustering method based on artificial immune system and apply in the center environment antibody storage of the model. It realized the interface module fault in the network fault diagnosis. Last the interface module fault characteristic data is divided into two parts. One is the training data, another is detection data. According to imitating the experiment, we can proof this clustering method based on artificial immune system very well in realizing the interface module fault.
