Semantic Retrieval System Model Based On Semantic Web Technology

This paper analyses the insufficiencies of the traditional information retrieval technology that base on the manual classify catalog and the keyword search, because of the insufficiency author put forward the notion of the Semantic Web and Semantic Retrieval. Semantic Web is a kind of web that extended the current web, it can express the information with an explicit and formalize manner and enhance the mutual operation and promote the knowledge share. This paper analyses the framework of the Semantic Web (seven layers) and the sticking point of the framework: XML, RDF and Ontology. Explain the definition of Ontology and the method and rules of the structure. Use the method and rule to create an Informatics Ontology antitype. Combining with three key Ontology's technologies and the Informatics Ontology, author designs the Semantic Retrieval System model antitype which is named InfoOntoSearch (Informatics Ontology Search) and bases on the Semantic Web. The System model mainly accomplishes two functions. The first one is that it searches about the book information with Semantic inference. The second one is that it searches the web page, using the spider program to collect the web page, and finally utilizing the informatics ontology to extend the search word to enlarge the search result.
