Data storage system is an important part of modern electronic system and it is widely used in various fields such as communication, radar and spaceflight.With the development of semiconductor technology, solid memory has become the prior choice of storage system owing to its performance. This article focuses on research and implementation of a kind of solid storage system that is based on NAND flash which can store the radar data with high speed and huge capacity.Firstly, this article analyzed the current situation and prospect of memory board with high speed and huge capacity, and then submited and designed a memory board with high performance based on NAND flash. The board adopted 96 pieces of NAND flash to realize a huge capacity of 384GB. Besides, it also employed FPGA to expand the read & write bandwidth by parallel operations on multiple pieces of flash. 6U standard board style based on CPCI bus was adopted, which achieved standardization and modularization of the signal processing board.Secondly, the article analyzed the implementation of a multiple-function storage system based on NAND flash memory board. The system comprised 8 NAND flash memory boards to realize high capacity up to 3TB and wide write bandwidth up to 4.5GB/s. Moreover, 2 ADC boards with 2 channels and a DSP board were adopted in the system to enable complete functions including saving, transfering and erasing. Besides, the article had made detailed analysis and design of the control software of the storage system.Finally, the article summarized the research content and outcome and analyzed the outlook of further research.
