Thick-film hybrid-integrated technique is excellent in low cost and high reliability. As these characteristics, it is widely applied to many fields. But the conventional thick-film technology makes a dim edge, uneven surface, not good enough of compactness, which cause high loss, and make it worse in high frequency feature than thin-film technology.In this paper, base on the mathematics theory of thick-film technology and materials characteristics, using a method of combining the thick-film and thin-film technology to improve the quality of microstrip, largely improve its high frequency feature accordingly. After this, designing a X-band mixer by using this method and traditional thick-film technology, then it is optimized in ADS software to testify that it is feasible in theoretics, and the test method is pointed out subsequently as reference and complementarity.
