With the widely use of space-target High Resolution Radar detect, and multifunction wide band phased array radar technique, there is more need for the quantity of shitter on array, and wider band, narrow space for unites, complex structure. The character needs the circuit of beam steering system faster working, smaller space, real-time compensation, multi-style works.On the request and with the development of micro-electron, firstly, the paper introduces the basic function and developing tendency of beam steering system of phased array radar, Then states the control method of beam steering system, and then presents the particular design scheme that based on the SOPC( System on a Programmable Chip)technical and the debug strategy. In all, the paper proofs that it is possible to use SOPC technique for realizing radar beam steering sub-system control.The using in radar beam steering sub-system of SOPC technique will make the system miniaturization, module, integrated, and high reliability. At the same time, the method can be wildly used in other objects that have more complicated math-model.
