| Civic journalism on television is a new style of news program which is different from traditional TV news. It combines the characteristics of political news and social news. The development of civic journalism has a complex historical background and social reasons. So it has a great academic value to investigate civic journlism in the context of "social change". The thesis begins with the definition and characteristics of civic news and analyzes the reasonable factors of the existence of civic news in the changing society. Also, the author studied the history of audience research from "sender-centered" to "audience-centered" and pointed out the difference between traditional TV news and civic news, which embodies the difference on how the news sender treats the audience. With the quick development of civic news, there are some serious problems worth reflecting. The author pionted out the problems and reflected them from a critical angel. At last, the author predicted the tendency of the television civic news in China. |
