Ad hoc network, also named as wireless self-organized network, is composed of mobile nodes with wireless communication device. It's a temporarily formed multi-hop wireless communication network without any infrastructure, in which mobile nodes cooperate to route packets by themselves via wireless link. The network features in high mobility, fast deployment and etc., and can be applied to modern battle field, disaster rescue, conference and other environments, therefore it has drawn wide attention from the military and the academic.Ad hoc network routing protocol is the new hot in the wireless network research nowadays. IETF found a special work group MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Networks) to develop the routing protocol. Since Ad hoc network is characterized by its highly dynamic, multi-hop, and infrastructure-less nature, the traditional routing protocols used in Internet are not adapted to the needs. Adaptive routing algorithms must be designed.According to the characters, this paper designed a newly backbone infrastructure to establish and maintain the network topology. And developed a routing protocol based on this infrastructure. The purpose is to improve the dynamic adaptability, the routing service and to find the best performance by the research. This paper used a computer simulation method, utilized the mathematical model and statistical analysis to simulate the network, which provided the reliable quantified evidence.
