With the prosperity of social economy and the progress of modern industrialization, the environment pollution becomes worse and worse. The environment problem should attract more attention if China wants to carry out its sustainable development strategy. In order to effectively reduce the pollution, a scientific assessment to the air quality is needed. It helps us to be aware of the current status of air pollution so that we can predict its trend and take actions to control it. Therefore, the air quality assessment plays a critical part in carrying out the sustainable development strategy.Jinan Environment Protection and Monitoring Centre (JEPMC) have been doing automatic assessment to the urban air quality since 1999, during which a huge amount of historical monitoring data of air quality have been accumulated. These data are very helpful to the analysis and prediction of the air quality within the entire city. The data collected will grow faster with the establishment of real-time and online monitoring system. The traditional database based data processing cannot satisfy the needs of processing and managing huge data. Therefore, a novel technology to analyze and utilize the existing data is needed.The main research works are as follows:1.Modern urban air quality management discussed the current situation and problems faced by Jinan current analysis of the ambient air quality environmental management need to support management decision-making proposed solutions to the problem.2.This thesis focuses on the analysis of air quality data. The way of setting up data warehouse and transferring data from the source system to the target system within the proposed system, including extracting, filtering, converting and organizing the data, is also discussed. In the proposed system, the air quality data is analyzed from various aspects.3.This thesis introduces the technology of how to analyze and visualize the pollution diffusing distribution of each pollution resource in GIS by using the Gauss...
