Scanning electrochemical microscopy, proposed by A.J.Bard in the late 1980's and developed quickly, is a new type of scanning probe microscopy. It makes up the shortcomings of scanning tunneling microscopy which cannot supply electrochemical information, therefore, it is applied widely in the fields of both chemistry and biology. Based on the principles of electrochemistry, scanning electrochemical microscopy is capable of detecting the electrochemical current at the probe as the probe is scanned across the tinny area of substrate surface where the oxidation or reduction occurs. The current is collected and reflected in the form of graphics and images that contain information about electrochemical activity at the substrate surface as well as the substrate topography.The CHI900 software of scanning electrochemical microscopy cannot convert the scanned current into a more intuitional form, that is, three-dimensional graphics. To implement the conversion, in the past, we had to shift the planar image into Origin software, but the three-dimensional graphics gotten is not satisfactory because of gridding. What's more, intercepting graphics cannot be realized in this way. For the effect of the experiment circumstance, the scanned curves and images are often polluted by noise, however, the CHI900 software cannot dispose them better according to their traits.Aiming at the disadvantages above, improvement is put forward and new PC software is designed in the paper to control the experiment and accomplish data processing. The traits of the software, which are also innovations of this paper, are as follows:Firstly, joint programming of Visual C++ and Matlab is adopted. The Matlab software has strong function in data processing, and can show and process both image and graphics simply. VC software is object-oriented, so it can supply good man-machine conversation and execute commands fast. Accordingly, combining Matlab with VC software can make use of both their advantages. Joint programming has simple codes, improves efficiency and processes image well.Secondly, experimental data is transformed into three-dimensional graphics real-timely. The function is realized by joint programming in the paper. After PC gathering correctly a row of data through a serial port, the gotten data is put into Matlab circumstance where it is transformed into three-dimensional graphics. The graphics is satisfactory and can be zoomed and revolved easily in Matlab circumstance.Thirdly, experimental curves and images are de-noised by wavelet transform. Wavelet transform is powerful in processing signal for its good time-frequency analysis ability, so it is adopted in this paper. If the scanned image has some small light stains, wavelet transform combined with mathematics morphology is introduced to process the polluted image and the method is effective.In conclusion, the PC software designed in this paper uses VC circumstance to construct good man-machine conversation and communicate with the singlechip collecting data and sending commands, while adopts Matlab engine to process images and graphics. The PC software not only can control the experiments effectively, but also can deal with experimental data well.
