MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) is a key indicator of digital imaging system. Lower MTF will lead to the image lose detail information, but to research higher MTF digital image system is difficult and costs much. For the on-orbit satellite imaging system, astro-radiation, sharp changing of temperature and also other affecters work on its performance. So it is important to know how it changes with time. This will be helpful for the design of next generation satellite imaging system.Measurement MTF of the on-orbit satellite imaging system from the sensing image is a hot research topic in international. Domestic research of this area is just at beginning, and lots of problems and difficulties are needed to be solved. For several high resolution satellite imaging systems have been used, now more and more people pay their attention to this area, so there will be a rapid progress in research work of this area.This paper mainly does research on the ways to measure MTF of xx-2 satellite, based on the result of international research, but with some improvements to fit xx-2 satellite sensing image. MTF Simulating Method is a new way to check whether the way of MTF Measurement is reliable. Noise is one of the key factors that effect the measurement of MTF, so it is important to know how the result of MTF Measurement changes with different types of noise, the result of this research work is benefit for finding the best environment for MTF measuring.
