Intelligent Optimization Algorithms And Applications

Optimization is an application technology based on mathematics and used to find optimal solutions of various engineering problems. As an important scientific branch, optimization technology is paid much atention, and it is extended and applied rapidly in many engineering fields. The realization of optimal production process is very important to the increase of the productive eficiency, benefit and the saving of resources. At the same time, the theoretic research of the optimization methods also plays a crucial role in improving algorithm's performance, extending algorithm's application fields and perfecting algorithm's system.With the fast development of computer science and technology, higher and more new requirements are brought forward, in which the insistent demands of an effective optimization technology and intelligence computational echnology is remarkable. As an important scientific branch, it is widely introduced in lots of engineering fields, and always gets a lot of attentions. Furthermore, seeking for brand new intelligence optimization algorithm suitable for different practical engineering applications is a hotspot in many disciplines, because there are many challenging tasks, such as complexity, constrains, nonlinear properties, multi-local optima and modeling difficulties.The modern intelligent optimization methods present an effective way to solve complex optimization problems. Basic theories, contemporary research status and developing trend of four typical intelligence optimization algorithms: Genetic Algorithm (GA), Artificial Immune Algorithm (AIA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) Algorithm and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) Algorithm are illustrated.
