The conventional CAD systems have been proved to be very effective in generating engineering drawings and modeling 3D objects, however, they can not be used to solve some problems arising from modification and choice of shape in the conceptual design phase. CAD system has experienced four significant technical innovations since I.E.Sutherland proposed the concept of CAD in 1963. And the intelligent CAD is the fourth one. Automatic geometric reasoning, which can automatically construct a geometric graph that satisfies the designer's needs by making use of computer, is the technical core of the intelligent CAD system. In addition, it also provides automatic generation of graph while the constraints are being changed resulting from modification.At present, there are four main approaches to automatic geometric reasoning: numerical approach, symbolic approach, rule-based approach and graph-based approach. Since ten years or more, there have been extensive researches into rule-based approach on how to improve the efficiency and range while building the construction sequences. However, there are few done based on parallel technique. Therefore, this paper mainly investigates how to build and realize the construction sequences by using parallel technique.The parallel computer system based on pc clusters is an important branch of parallel processing techniques, and it is an efficient way of High-Performance Computing. This paper has designed and realized the parallel construction sequences building algorithm using the PC clusters system.
