Economy is the perpetual topic of human society and the focus to which media always pay attention.Since new century, Chinese economy has been facing a situation of being increasingly vigorous and perplexing, and the renovation and development of media industry is deepening. The two great backgrounds provoke us to reflect upon a series of questions concerning economic reporting and media management.New economic newspaper is the calling of a kind of media which are associated with new century. It adopts Segment Mass Communication, focuses on microeconomic behavior and pays more attentions to interpreting than just informing, intended for some young male readers who have high earnings, culture tastes and the abilities to make decisions; In marketing management, it is closely connected with the marketplace. China Business, spanning tradition and holding hands with 21st Century Business Herald and The Economic Observer, becomes the typical representative of new economic newspaper.The new economic newspaper, observing Chinese economy and doing economic reporting from the double perspectives of economics and journalism, fulfilling self-development in the light of brand-new managing philosophy, has been a newly-creating power full of energy and original spirit in media circle.Applying some basic and classic theories in economics and journalism, the thesis makes a relatively complete thinking and illustration about the characteristics of the new economic newspaper on the base of examples of the-big-three economic newspapers mainly through case-analyzing approach.
