Mode Of Operation Of The County (city) Level Radio And Television Networks

Broadcasting and Television industry takes an important position in the national cultural industries; also it is strong communication channel for our government. The reformation of Chinese broadcasting and TV system has been intensive since last century, in which the cable TV net companies are exploring the best way for their operation in the future. With the development in past 20 years, subscribers of cable TV networks in China are the largest in the word. However, the development level varies in different region divided admistritively into over 2000. The unconformity of these sub-networks results in the low efficiency and profit in operation.Network in urban areas are advanced and own large subscribers, in contrast, the networks at county level are less qualified but the huge subscribers, and rural areas is the weakest net cover. This paper focus on the development and operation methods and strategies for these networks at county level which have potential expanding space. Based on these research and comparison, the author presents the solutions for the county-level CATV network companies on how to handle the above problems, which can be reference to other CATV service providers at the same level.
