| Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Standard is an international normative protocol for communication of medical digital images. DICOM makes the communications of image and related digital information between different medical imaging apparatus has a unified standard. To solve the problem caused by the apparatus of different manufacturers when they are communicating each other, the foreign manufacturers provide their medical apparatus which conformance DICOM standard with license. On the other hand, DICOM is the standard conformed by Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), that is, DICOM is the base of PACS.DICOM is an international standard just for these needs, and it has been used to resolve the problems in practice. PACS that based on the DICOM standard is one of the most important hospital information systems. It realizes communication of multi-kinds of imaging apparatus; solves the problem of digital image communication.This study work, which is base on DICOM standard, realizes the operations of verify, find and retrieve of complex objects. At first, this article introduces the DICOM information model and DICOM network protocol architecture; specify the definition of DICOM Service and Object, message data coding, encapsulation of protocol data unite (PDU) and the mechanism of message exchange, etc. And then synoptically specifies protocol data unite, presentation data value (PDV), encapsulation of various compose items and the class clusters for this program. The principal part of this article specifies the design and realization of find and retrieve modules, including design of find level, method of showing information that was found, storage of retrieve images, program flow of each module and setting of timers. At last, we get the expect results for giving tests to these modules.This realizes the operation of DICOM complex object, complete the rock-bottom communication of DICOM standard, and facilitate PACS system. |
