In the recent years,with the rapid development in China mobile communication and Internet,mobile communication service and Internet service combined with the traditional communication constantly,which make mobile value-added service expand far away.At the same time,it will be pregnant with many commercial opportunities. According to the statistics,by June 2005,the number of users with mobile phone had up to 345,000,000,eighty percents of which were using value-added service. We took China Mobile as an example,by June 2005,its total income was 114,500,000,000 yuan,in which 22.5 billion was took by value-added service that occupied 19.7% of the total income with 49.2% ascending comparing last year.But the Short Message Service market grow slowly in value-added service day after day,moreover many fresh service,such as CRBT(Coloring Ring Back Tone),MMS,IVR and WAP,hold an important position in market gradually. Take a long-term view,Short Message Platform including SMS and WAP will not meet the needs of commerce in signaling channel,Data Transmission Rate,Response Rate and so on.So the contradiction between technology and application is a bottleneck for the development of Short Message.On this background a new interactive data service based on GSM net-USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) birthed.In this paper,I designed and implemented USSD service platform based on internet and facilities of China Unicom Yunnan Branch.USSD gateway is produced by Shenzhen Huawei company,and its application layer protocol is Huawei USSD Proto-col.This paper mainly have discussed and analyzed design and implementation of USSD platform and its performance from below three sides.Firstly,I introduced USSD standard briefly,and modularized USSD platform with function according to actual needs and USSD service flow.At the same time,this forms analyse rudiment using queue theory. Secondly,I explained related concept of queue theory and analysed two types of queue model(M/M/1,M/M/C).Based on this,I modeled queue system-M/M/c/N/∞ using Matlab,and validated its correctness,which provided efficient means for analyzing performance of USSD platform with queue theory. Finally, I implemented USSD platform with C++ language,and put forward modified dispatch algorithm for USSD session pool instead of an usual algorithm.It can improved performance of USSD plat-form.By this means,which simulation with Matlab queue model and testing in simulant environment,I have draw a conclusion that the performance of USSD platform with modified dispatch algorithm have been improved greatly. Now,the USSD platform will be running formally,after passing related testing.
