With the rapid development of the network technology, 3D network games have become more and more popular among teenagers and youth. Currently the Chinese game markets are almost fully occupied by foreign products, which are very profitable. To change this situation our government has increased its support for this industry significantly. For example, one of the famous 863 projects is on the research and design of game engines. Aiming to contribute to this enterprise, this paper will first analyze the 3D network game products on market, and then try to study and design a new type of 3D network game system.The process of the virtual scenario are designed by 3D network game program, the realization of transporting protocol and synchronization between server and client will be systematically discussed especially the key technologies involved. First of all the outdoor scene rendering which draw real time terrain with LoD algorithm based on quad-tree is focused with the improved algorithm for memory storage proposed;And then the BSP kernel algorithm in indoor scene will be introduced. The part two merely illustrates how to choose appropriate protocol to construct optimal communication platform and proposes a few resolutions for enhancing the efficiency of transportation by comparing the common TCP and UDP protocols in details. The part three revolves around how to interact and maintain synchronization between server and client. Therefore this paper analyzes and designs equitable game transport protocol to facilitate the interaction with each other. Moreover the proposals based on C/S infrastructure and Dead Reckoning algorithm for solving the synchronization are elaborated.
