The production and operation processes of the enterprise are centered with the product as well as the organization, management, resource and technique. The enterprise must describe the complete product information and manage such processes as how to get and deal with the product information so as to optimize and control all of the manufacturing actions and processes. So the manufacturing enterprises are in great need of establishing a uniform product model to organize such enterprise essentials as the process, information and resource in the life cycle of the product. Thus the enterprise can work well.The paper analyzed the relevant sub-model of the CIMdata's process model of lifecycle-oriented product definition and elicited the four essentials—organization, process, resource and product information—through the product lifecycle. The relationship between these four essentials was described based on the non-redundancy analysis of them. The information view of the uniform product model was established in IDEF1X method. The quantity relationship of the four essentials was described with a stimulant circuit diagram based on the physics principle to optimize the uniform product model.The uniform product information model is an important sub-model of the uniform product model. The paper put forward to the organization structure, mapping process from the global model to application model, mapping arithmetic and the integrated framework of the uniform product information model. Thus the uniform product information model was described completely.
