Based On The Smart Home Power Line Communication Network Information Transfer Key Components

Control Net is bringing all of advanced technology in computer world to control world. Through cooperating work of Internet, Intranet and Control Net, people could not only connect with people, but connect with "things". Home System is no longer an isolated information island, through connecting seamless with outside network, people could access any device anytime, anywhere. As a standard of Intelligent Home Network(IHN), LONWORKS technology paves the way to this integration. It has all the necessary components to implement a control system that all-round opening, be able to mutual operating, easy to connect seamless with the existing data network.Because of its advantages of extensive coverage, no new line, forever connection and no RF electromagnetic pollution, PLC(Power Line Communication) is the first choice for constructing Home Network. This paper introduces a power line modem chip SC1128 based on Spread Spectrum technique, analyzes it's characteristic and compare it with other modem chips. Using SC1128, designs a power Line Transceiver. In the end, apply this transceiver in Smart Home System, construct a Intelligent Home Network based on LONWORKS techniques, hope to provide a hardware foundation for future research in IHN.This paper is supported by Guangdong Education Department Foundation.
